What We Do
Academy Objectives
- To spread the Sunnah and its related sciences, where interest in the Sunnah is limited.
- To prepare researchers specializing in Hadith and its related sciences.
- To develop the teaching abilities of instructors in Islamic institutes in Sri Lanka in teaching Hadith and its related sciences.
- To cultivate students' ability to derive rulings from the Sunnah and the traditions of the righteous predecessors.
- To familiarize students with how the Sunnah fulfills the requirements and diverse needs of the modern age.
- To develop students' capacity for continuous self-learning in Hadith and its related sciences.
- To enhance students' Arabic language skills through supplementary programs.
- Assisting outstanding students in obtaining scholarships from Islamic and Arab universities to pursue postgraduate studies in Hadith and its sciences.
- Establishing academic ties between the Hadith Academy and educational institutions in the homeland and the Arab and Islamic world to serve the Prophetic Sunnah.
- Publishing a peer-reviewed quarterly journal of Hadith studies.
- Promoting a culture of peaceful coexistence with non-Muslims.
